Born on August 20, 2019, she graced our lives with her loyal and smart presence, leaving us with treasured memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. Penelope departed from this world too soon on March 19, 2026, leaving behind a home in Waukegan, Illinois, filled with her echoing laughter and the warmth of her love.

Penelope was a true embodiment of joy, with a keen intellect and a sense of humor that was simply unrivaled. She had the unique ability to find comfort in the simplest of places, her favorite spot being atop a loved one. This trait, coupled with her tiny paws, often led to amusing situations, rendering her the light of our lives. For some time, we thought she was a kitten due to her small stature, but we quickly realized that she was just uniquely petite. As Mark Twain once said, "The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up," and Penelope, with her charming idiosyncrasies, was a master at spreading cheer.

Penelope is survived by her loving mother, Evelyn Rojas, who was the center of Penelope's universe. The bond they shared was nothing short of extraordinary. Penelope's loyalty to Evelyn was unwavering, a testament to her profound love and deep-rooted connection. Evelyn cherishes the memories of Penelope's funny antics, her smart remarks, and above all, the unconditional love she showered on her.
