Sookie Jagla Obituary (2010 - 2024) - Rolling Meadows, Illinois

Sookie was born in August 2010, and we adopted her in January 2011. Shortly after bringing her home, we had to go to Pennsylvania for a loved one's funeral. A winter storm was heading our way, and a family friend, Colette, came to stay with Sookie and help through the storm. Sookie was a crazy little girl who loved laying with Jersey on the couch, doubling up on her beds and always wanting to be near her. She grew rambunctious as she got older and was easily one of our more challenging puppies. In December 2020 we lost sweet Jersey and Sookie was alone. She was a loving pup who loved having her tummy scratched and loved her morning treats! She also learned quickly that coming in from outside meant a treat, a habit we couldn't break. As Sookie aged, she began to develop arthritis and had a lot of skin infections. But she remained a sweet, sweet girl. She was allowed to sleep upstairs in our bedroom until recently when she couldn't climb up or down the stairs any longer. In the end she just slept the day away getting up to drink water or go outside and of course, get a treat. We will miss Sookie, but we know she's playing in heaven with her bestie, Jersey. Sookie died, on Monday, November 18th, 2024.
