It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of our beloved Speed Hudson-Geater. Born on June 7, 2022, his light shone brightly for nearly three years, touching lives and spreading joy in North Chicago, Illinois, and beyond. Speed's adventurous spirit, loving heart, and loyal nature made a lasting impression on all who had the privilejige of knowing him. He was a spirited soul whose zest for life was contagious, his energy a memory that would be in our hearts forever. Speed was a child in every sense of the word. His curious eyes, always wide with wonder, saw magic in the most ordinary things. He found joy in the simplest pleasures of life, his energy resonating with pure contentment. His adventurous spirit led him to discover the world around him with an enthusiasm that was truly infectious. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." To his owners, Azae Hudson-Geater and Mommy, Speed was their world. He was a loving bearded dragon, whose affection knew no bounds. His awareness and alertness the antidote to every worry, his nudges and energy a balm for every sorrow. His loyalty was unshakeable, his love unconditional. Speed's spirited personality was a beacon of joy and positivity. His vibrant spirit will continue to live on, not only in the memories we hold dear but also in the love he has left behind. Speed Hudson-Geater leaves behind a legacy of love and undeniable energy. He is survived by his owner, Azae Hudson-Geater, and his mother, DeMyra Hudson. Speed’s life was a brief gift to us all that will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
